GROWN FROM
THE SOIL OF
PATIENCE.
Umeréa started with a single question: why does most hibiscus tea taste like an afterthought? Founded in 2024, we spent the next two years working directly with smallholder growers who cultivate Hibiscus sabdariffa, the deep-ruby calyx behind every proper glass of karkade, bissap and sorrel, before opening our doors two months ago.
Every batch is hand-sorted for color and cracked open only when it's ready to steep. No dust, no stems, no fillers, just whole, sun-dried petals pressed into tea bags or milled slowly into fine hibiscus powder.
"We don't make hibiscus tea taste like hibiscus tea should. We just stop getting in its way."
